Crowdfunding Campaign Goes Live!

Wanderers FC, London's oldest football club & the first FA Cup winners, have agreed a partnership with Virgo Fidelis Convent Senior School, Gipsy Hill, meaning that our men's & women's XIs will host home matches at the school.

However, both parties can only proceed if funds are raised to pay for pitch repairs and for equipment. To enable that to happen, the club have launched a crowdfunding campaign and we are calling on current and former players, supporters and volunteers, local residents, and just about anyone to

pledge their support, or

publicise our campaign.

The club have launched a crowdfunding campaign page to help us get to our target - we are trying to raise £6'775 to pay for pitch repairs, ball-stop netting, goals, corner flags, and pitch markings. Wanderers have committed £1100 to the fund and Virgo Fidelis have pledged £1000.

If we surpass our fundraising goal, we can add junior goals, dug outs, and additional equipment.

Furthermore, the club intend to organise and put on youth coaching sessions during the school holidays, benefiting even more people from the local areas of South Norwood and Crystal Palace. In one of the top 10% of most deprived regions in the UK, facilities such as our will go some way to alleviating the chronic underinvestment in the local leisure infrastructure.

If you can pledge, we would be seriously grateful. If we hit our target, your pledge will be claimed after the 23rd November deadline. If we don't hit our target, it won't cost you a penny.

If you can't afford to back us at this time, please publicise our crowdfunding page as widely as possible by telling your friends and family and sharing on social media (we're @wanderersafc everywhere!)
