FLO SAULNIER APPOINTED WOMEN'S HEAD COACH

Updated: Sep 12, 2021

Former Wanderers Men's 2nds player and sponsor of the club, Florent Brisson-Saulnier, has been appointed as new Women's Head Coach for the 2021-22 season.

'Flo', a native of Corsica, was a key player for the 2nds, appearing 15 times in the 2018-19 season, picking up a clean sheet in his second match; a friendly against Reigate Priory. One of his best matches was the 'Battle of Kingsmeadow' - a hard-fought and muddy 1-1 draw versus AMY Reserves in torrential rain.

He has been very public with his own mental health concerns, helping many people to gain an insight into different forms of anxiety and depression. He generously sponsored the club at the start of last season and our eye-catching home kit bears the 'Saulnier XI' logo.

The team will need some rebuilding this season after the majority of players relocated or started families. New players or those returning to the sport are invited to contact the club to find out how to get involved.

The previous incumbent, Stuart Webb, has moved into a new role at Paddock Wood FC in the Kent County League. Wanderers wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
