Wanderers FC are now hiring a Volunteer Commercial Officer.


This will the first time that the club will be offering performance-related pay. The Commercial Officer will play a vital role in helping Wanderers achieve our commercial objectives.


• 5-20 hours per month recommended

• £1'000-£6'000 in commission per annum W


Wanderers Football Club Ltd. is seeking a Commercial Officer to take responsibility for our commercial incomes and lead the growth of our new retail site and sponsorship revenues.


Job Description:

You’ll be invited to create your own commercial strategy for the club. Your core responsibility will be to increase the club's income, to allow us to invest in infrastructure, publicity, and growth of our existing football provision.


Retail: At our new home ground, we have a kiosk retailing programmes, drinks, snacks, and merchandise. There is potential for trade to increase as our usage of the pitch increases.


Sponsorship: We have an enviable brand with an incredible heritage. Since 2009, we have attracted numerous commercial partners and we are seeking a new wave of partners, ideally based near to our new home.


Your goal will be to help Wanderers Football Club to improve our finances through commerical opportunities available through the above key areas, or in other areas you may wish to develop or create. It is also possible for you to bring in your own volunteers to support you.


The role is voluntary and may require travel across South London to meet with potential clients. You will have control of your own diary and responsibility for managing your pipeline and appointments. You will be expected to attend regular Club Committee Meetings (3-5 per annum) which are normally held in Central London on a weekday evening. C


Compensation:

Whilst the role is voluntary, there is a paid bonus scheme. The successful candidate will be entitled to earn 20% of all net sponsorship revenue up to the first financial target, with additional bonuses, if subsequent targets are achieved. If the post holder wishes to manage the retail kiosk on match days, additional income can be earned as a percentage of all sales made during matchdays.


Travel expenses can be discussed based on job performance and you will be provided with Wanderers Football Club apparel to be worn when representing the club, at no cost to you.


Hours per month:

5-20 hours per month recommended, although it may be necessary to spend more time on the role at the start of your employment but it is at the discretion of the Commercial Director to set a working schedule that is manageable around other commitments. Additional time may be required based on the demands of the role.


Requirements:

• Experience in sales and/or marketing and managing commercial relationships,

• Excellent organizational skills,

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,

• Based in or within a reasonable travel distance of West Norwood / Gipsy Hill area
